Aquaman 2 The much-anticipated release of the film ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,’ starring Jason Momoa, is facing a delay in India. Contrary to the initial plan of a simultaneous release with the English version, the film will not hit Indian theaters on Thursday, December 21st. Instead, fans in India will have to wait one more day as the release date has been pushed to Friday, December 22nd.
Will be released in three languages
Originally slated for release in three languages—Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu—the dubbed versions of the film are yet to undergo scrutiny by the Censor Board. This delay in the approval process is cited as the reason for the postponement.
‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ marks the sequel to the 2018 film ‘Aquaman,’ a production by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is set to be showcased in India in 3D and IMAX 3D formats.

The precursor, ‘Aquaman,’ holds the distinction of being the first film from DC Comics to captivate audiences. Released in 2018, the film garnered widespread acclaim, with fans expressing immense enthusiasm for its characters.
Aquaman 2 faces Dankee and Salar
The King of Bollywood, master director of recent megahits Pathaan and Jawaani Khan is preparing to sweep audiences off their feet once more with his latest effort Dankee (scheduled for release on December 21) has fans increasingly hot under the collar. Meanwhile, on December 22 South Indian superstar Prabhas will be returning with a bang in Salaar.
With these two Indian spectacles making their way to Taiwan, Hollywood has dispatched a rival worthy of the name in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The follow-up to 2017’s first Aquaman is set for release around the globe on December 23. Considering that Hollywood films are wildly popular in India, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom have naturally set the fans abuzz.
This box-office battle of Titans makes it seem that Momoa’s Aquaman 2 might corporealize Dankee as well. It turns out, though, that the first Aquaman film was an enormous hit that thoroughly delighted moviegoers around the world.
In the process of box-office warfare, movie buffs also discover that Bollywood block blurbs and Hollywood’s aquatic superheroes are equally irresistible.
