Narendra Modi will release a Hindi translation of the book Odisha History written by Utkal Keshari Dr Harekrishna Mahatab at 12 noon on Friday from Janpath Ambedkar International Center in New Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the Hindi translation of the book ‘Odisha History’ written by Utkal Keshari Dr. Harekrishna Mahatab in New Delhi today. So far, the Hindi translation of the book available in Odia and English has been done by Shri Shankarlal Purohit.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhartrihari Mahtab MP (Cuttack) will also be present on the occasion. A press release was released by the Prime Minister’s Office and stated, ‘The Hindi version is being released by the Harekrishna Mahtab Foundation.
Dr. Harekrishna Mahtab was an important fighter of the Indian independence movement. He was also the Chief Minister of Odisha from 1946 to 1950 and from 1956 to 1961. He wrote the Odisha History Book at Ahmednagar Fort Jail where he was imprisoned for more than two years from 1942 to 1945.

(डॉ हरेकृष्ण महताब भारतीय स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के महत्वपूर्ण सेनानी थे। वे 1946 से 1950 तक और 1956 से 1961 तक ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री भी रहे। उन्होंने अहमदनगर फोर्ट जेल में ओडिशा इतिहास पुस्तक लिखी जहाँ वे 1942 से 1945 के दौरान दो साल से अधिक समय तक बंदी बनाकर रखे गए थे|)
