Hashmatullah Shahid became the first batsman in Afghanistan to score a double century in Test cricket.
Recently, Hasmatullah Shahidi became the first batsman in Afghanistan to score a double century in Test cricket on Thursday, the second day of the second Test match being played against Zimbabwe at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
The 26-year-old Shahidi is playing his fifth Test match, scoring an unbeaten 200 off 443 balls with 21 fours and a six. Just after Shahidi completed his double century, Afghanistan declared their first by scoring 545 runs for four wickets.
In the first innings of the second Test match against Zimbabwe, Afghanistan captain Asghar Afghan also scored a century and faced 164 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 14 fours, facing 257 balls.
