Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has launched a program of Rs 42 crore “gharoki identity, chelik naam” (daughter’s name is household identity) and development schemes in Nainital. Initially, the scheme has been started in Nainital, and later it is to be extended to the entire Uttarakhand.
The government is working towards women empowerment and they are being made self-sufficient to connect 32,000 women groups of the state with self-employment. The state government is also ready to implement many public welfare schemes for the benefit of the youth.
As part of the development works, the catchment area of ​​Sukha Tal Lake will be revived and will have to go through a process of beautification. Work on Sukha Tal Lake will work to recharge Nainital Lake and will also move towards a tourist attraction in Nainital.
