Indian Navy Conducts TROPEX Exercise in Indian Ocean Region
Recently, the Indian Navy’s largest biennial ‘Theater Level Operational Readiness Exercise (TROPEX) continues in the Indian Ocean Region. The military exercise began in January and will conclude in the third week of February.
The biennial ‘Theater Level Operational Readiness Exercise (TROPEX)’ aims to protect the national interests in the maritime sector, besides being aggressive on the Navy as well as validating defence capabilities and promoting peace and stability in the Indian Ocean.
The exercise is being carried out over a vast geographical expanse in the Indian Ocean region, including its tributary waters, and aims to test naval combat readiness in a complex multi-dimensional landscape in the context of the current geostationary environment.
The theme of this biennial exercise: ‘War is ready, reliable and united force‘. Which will include Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Police of 13 coastal states and union territories along with other maritime sector stakeholders.
In the first phase of this exercise, the Indian Navy conducted a coastal defence exercise ‘Sea Vigil‘ on 12-13 January 2021 in the entire coastal region and island areas of India. This was followed by a large-scale joint exercise of the three armies Ampex-21 (AMPHEX-21).
TROPEX is overseen by the only tri-service theatre command of the Indian Armed Forces at Port Blair and Naval Headquarters with the participation of all three of the Indian Navy (Eastern, Western and Southern Naval Command).
(हाल ही मे, भारतीय नौसेना की सबसे बड़ी द्विवार्षिक ‘थिएटर लेवल ऑपरेशनल रेडीनेस एक्सरसाइज़ (TROPEX) हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में जारी है। यह सैन्य अभ्यास जनवरी में प्रारंभ हुआ था और इसका समापन फरवरी के तीसरे सप्ताह में होगा।)
(द्विवार्षिक ‘थियेटर लेवल ऑपरेशनल रेडीनेस एक्सरसाइज (TROPEX)’ का उद्देश्य नौसेना के आक्रामक होने के साथ-साथ रक्षा क्षमताओं को मान्य करना और हिंद महासागर में शांति और स्थिरता को बढ़ावा देने के अलावा समुद्री क्षेत्र में राष्ट्रीय हितों की रक्षा करना है |)
(यह अभ्यास हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में एक विशाल भौगोलिक विस्तार पर किया जा रहा है, जिसमें इसके सहायक जल भी शामिल हैं और इसका उद्देश्य वर्तमान भूस्थिर पर्यावरण के संदर्भ में एक जटिल बहु-आयामी परिदृश्य में नौसेना की लड़ाकू तत्परता का परीक्षण करना है |)
(इस द्विवार्षिक अभ्यास की विषय/थीम: ‘युद्ध तत्पर, विश्वसनीय और एकजुट बल’ है। जिसमे भारतीय नौसेना, तटरक्षक, 13 तटीय राज्यों और केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों की समुद्री पुलिस के साथ समुद्री क्षेत्र के अन्य हितधारक शामिल होंगे।)
(इस अभ्यास के पहले चरण में भारतीय नौसेना ने 12-13 जनवरी, 2021 को भारत के पूरे तटीय क्षेत्र और द्वीप क्षेत्रों में तटीय रक्षा अभ्यास ‘सी विजिल’ का आयोजन किया था। इसके बाद बड़े पैमाने पर तीनों सेनाओं के संयुक्त अभ्यास एम्फेक्स-21 (AMPHEX-21) का आयोजन किया गया था।)
(TROPEX की देखरेख पोर्ट ब्लेयर में स्थित भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों की एकमात्र त्रि-सेवा थियेटर कमान और भारतीय नौसेना (पूर्वी, पश्चिमी और दक्षिणी नौसेना कमान) की तीनों कमानों की भागीदारी के साथ नौसेना मुख्यालय द्वारा की जा रही है।)
