Parakram Divash (पराक्रम दिवस) : 23 जनवरी 2021
Recently, the Government of India announced on 23 January 2021 to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as Parakram Diwas. This day is celebrated to honour and remember Netaji’s indomitable spirit and selfless service to the nation.
Netaji was born on 23 January 1897 in Cuttack, Odisha. He graduated from Kolkata and became an Indian Civil Service (ICS) officer. But he gave up the comforts and comforts that came with his job and decided to be a part of the freedom struggle.
Netaji had awakened the country to fight against the British with the slogan “Give me blood and I will give you freedom” in the freedom struggle. Netaji created an army called Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army), giving the slogan of “Delhi Chalo”.
