Holographic representations created by Airtel and Nokia bring the cultural splendor of the Statue of Unity and the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to life while showcasing the advantages of the ultra-rapid and low-latency 5G network.
The Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022 will include India’s first immersive 5G experience thanks to a partnership between Airtel and Nokia.
According to a statement released by the businesses on Saturday, Airtel and Nokia will use holographic pictures to bring the cultural beauty of the Statue of Unity and the Kashi Vishwanath temple to life while showcasing the advantages of the ultra-fast & low latency 5G network.
The architecture and style of these famous buildings and temples will be displayed in the near lifelike holograms, simulating the actual experience.
According to the firms, “with the arrival of the 5G, immersive virtual tourism is projected to help redefine the travel and tourism sector where the public will be able to view faraway locations and landmarks from the comfort of their homes.”
India registered 2321 million domestic visitors going around the nation in 2019. When leisure travel essentially came to an end during COVID, this figure dropped to close to 620 million.
The GDP contribution of the sector of travel and tourism was $121.9 billion in 2020; by 2028, it is anticipated to increase to $512 billion.
The breakthrough bandwidth of 5G, which will open the door to millions of social and industrial applications, supports these use cases.
In India, Airtel has pioneered 5G technology over the past year and led the industry in testing many use cases with several partners in numerous places.
Airtel has developed and nurtured a thriving ecosystem of partners and start-ups to facilitate quicker adoption of next-generation technologies, from showcasing India’s first 5G experience on a live 4G network in Hyderabad to India’s first rural 5G trial to the first online gaming experience on 5G.
