Famous for giving a new look to Indian saris for contemporary women, famous fashion designer Satya Paul has died at the age of 79.
Satya Paul started his journey in retail in the 60s and later expanded the export of Indian handloom products to Europe and America.
Satya Paul started L’Affaire, the first sari boutique in India in 1980. In 1986, Satya Paul launched India’s first designer label under the brand Satya Paul, which has now become one of the country’s leading brands.
