Romania’s PM Ludovic Orban resigns from his post

Romanian Prime Minister Ludovic Orban has resigned after his party’s disappointing performance in parliamentary elections.

Recently, Romanian Prime Minister Ludovic Orban has resigned from his post following the defeat of his ruling National Liberal Party (PNL) in the 2020 parliamentary election. Subsequently, Romania’s President Claus Iohanis appointed Defense Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca (Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca) as the country’s interim Prime Minister.
