In an emotional gesture, India captain Harman Preet Kaur let Jhulan Goswami call the toss in her final game at Lord’s on Saturday.
Harman Preet and Jhulan arrived together for the toss and stood near England captain Amy Jones.
The India captain was also in tears at a team huddle before the game as the team said an emotional farewell to India’s fastest bowler. Jhulan also talked with host broadcaster Sky Sports after the coin toss.
Having already secured the series, they’re first in England in 23 years, India may be looking for a 3-zero collection end result and a fitting send-off for Jhulan, who played international cricket for two decades.
