Rihanna turned down an opportunity to play at the 2019 Super Bowl to demonstrate her support for Colin Kaepernick. However, for the 2023 LVII Super Bowl, the second-best-selling female musician has now announced the happy news in a novel way.
She recently shared an Instagram photo of her tattooed hand clutching a National Football League (NFL) football.
Soon after the tweet, the NFL Twitter account changed its bio to “National Fenty League” and tagged Rihanna and Apple Music. Rihanna’s official surname and the Fenty cosmetics business were referenced in the clever remark.
The crowd is overjoyed to see Rihanna return on stage after such a lengthy absence. Rihanna’s most recent album, Anti, was released in 2016, and her most recent live performance was at the Grammy Awards in 2018. She has sold over 250 million albums globally.
Pepsi will not sponsor the event
This is the first time since 2013 that Pepsi has not sponsored the event. This time, the NFL has teamed up with Apple Music and Roc Nation. The Super Bowl will be held in Arizona’s State Farm Stadium in Glendale in February 2023.
