The first phase of voting for the Assembly elections in Bihar has ended.In the first phase, a total of 1066 candidates, including 952 men and 114 women, were in the fray, out of which eight ministers were also trying their luck, 54.1 per cent in 71 seats till 7 pm. Voting took place. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said that till 5 pm, 52.24 percent polling was done. He said that till this time in the year 2015, 54.94 percent people had voted in the first phase. The Lok Sabha election saw 53.54 percent polling. He said that polling was held in three assembly constituencies till 3 pm and in five assembly constituencies till 5 pm, polling in all other areas lasted till 6 pm.
(बिहार में विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए पहले चरण का मतदान समाप्त हो चुका है पहले चरण में 952 पुरुष और 114 महिलाओं समेत कुल 1066 प्रत्याशी चुनाव मैदान में थे, इनमें आठ मंत्री भी अपनी भाग्य आजमा रहे थे, 71 सीटों पर शाम सात बजे तक 54.1 फीसदी वोटिंग हुई | मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त सुनील अरोड़ा ने बताया कि शाम पांच बजे तक 52.24 फीसदी मतदान हुआ | उन्होंने बताया कि साल 2015 में इस समय तक पहले चरण में 54.94 फीसदी लोगों ने मतदान किया था | लोकसभा चुनाव में 53.54 फीसदी मतदान हुआ |  उन्होंने बताया कि तीन विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में दोपहर तीन बजे तक मतदान चला तथा पांच विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में शाम पांच बजे तक मतदान चला, बाकी सभी क्षेत्रों में मतदान शाम 6 बजे तक चला |)
