Uttar Pradesh partners with Israel to solve Bundelkhand water crisis
Recently the Government of Uttar Pradesh has signed a ‘Plan of Cooperation’ with the Government of Israel to solve the water crisis of the Bundelkhand region. The partnership between the two governments is to address the problem of water crisis in drought-prone areas of Bundelkhand. It will help regional farmers with the latest agricultural technologies such as drip irrigation for water scarcity areas like Bundelkhand.

This project will tackle the problem of water scarcity in Bundelkhand and its surrounding areas, and will become an ideal for ground water management, irrigation and potable water management for the rest of the country. According to the signed ‘Plan of Cooperation’, the two governments will cooperate in the field of water utility on the Indo-Israel Bundelkhand Water Project. The Indo-Israeli Bundelkhand Water Project has three components viz. Water conservation, water efficient transport and improved water efforts for agriculture.
