India will host ICC T20: 2021 World Cup

Recently the International Cricket Council has confirmed the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 to be held in Australia in the year 2022 postponed due to Kovid-19.

India will also host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 as planned. Also, the ICC has decided to postpone the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2021 to be held in New Zealand from February 2022 to March 20 because the Kodi-19 epidemic has affected cricket in a big way at this time.

Tournament format:

• The format of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 will remain the same as scheduled for 2020 and all the teams eligible for that event will now participate in India in 2021.
• A new qualification process will be run for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
• The format of the postponed ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup will remain the same as it was for 2021.
• Five teams have already qualified for the event and will run till 2022.
• The selection process for the final three teams to participate in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup was scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka in July 2020, but was postponed due to COVID-19. Now this event will be held in 2021.
