Speaking to reporters at the state secretariat, the education minister said that since the BJP-IPFT administration took office in 2018, a number of ground-breaking initiatives had been made to raise the standard of education.
One of these options was to build colleges using the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, and as a result, bids were released in October 2020, requesting famous educational institutions that are eager to join with private investors to come and invest in Tripura.
The PPP approach is being used to build two institutions in Jirania and Kakraban. A law school is the first, while a degree-granting institution is the second. According to the minister, there would be a 33 percent reserve for government-funded free entry to both.
He continued by saying that three more general degree colleges are being established by government initiative at the Old Agartala Rural Development (RD) block, an English-medium school in West Tripura & a general degree college in Panisagar in North Tripura.
