The Maharashtra government has launched a “Maha Parwana” scheme to attract new investment in the industries of its state. The scheme will be able to facilitate incentives and single-window clearance system.
(महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने अपने राज्य के उद्योगों में नए निवेश को आकर्षित करने के लिए एक “महा परवाना” योजना की शुरुआत की है। यह योजना प्रोत्साहन और एकल-खिड़की क्लीयरेंस प्रणाली की सुविधा देने में सक्षम होगी।)


About “Maha Parwana” Scheme: 

  • Under this scheme, companies with investment proposals of 50 crores or more will be given exemption from obtaining approval from several departments with letter of assurance (Maha Parwana).
  • These companies will have to apply through Maharashtra Industry, Trade and Investment Facilitation Cell (MAITRI), single window system and will be allowed online within 48 hours.
  • Industries nominated under Maha Parwana will be granted 25 different statutory clearances and approval from other state departments within 30 days. If the approval is not granted within 30 days, it will be approved automatically.
  • The state government has proposed to provide “plug and play” infrastructure for existing and new industries to support investors and reduce capital investment.
