The FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup 2020 has been postponed until the next 2021 due to a coronovirus epidemic that was to take place in India. The Kovid-19 Working Group of FIFA-Confederation now decided to hold the Under-17 Women’s World Cup in India between 17 February-7 March 2021. In this tournament, Japan and North Korea have qualified for the two places available to Asian teams, while India had qualified for the main tournament as hosts. Now it had to be postponed for 1 year.

Five places have already been selected for the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup 2020 tournament. These five places are Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kolkata and Navi Mumbai. Guwahati was selected for the inaugural season of the tournament while Mumbai was selected for the closing season.
