NITI Aayog has launched a campaign in association with the Piramal Foundation to protect senior citizens during COVID-19. The theme of this campaign is “Safe Grandparents and Grandparents Campaign”. The main objective of this launched campaign is to care for senior citizens during the COVID-19 epidemic. COVID-19 will work as a preventive measure to ensure senior citizens’ care in the wake of the epidemic as well as to raise awareness about various aspects such as health and lifestyle of senior citizens.

The main objective of the “Safe Grandparents and Nani Abhiyan” campaign is to sensitize 2.9 million senior citizens in 25 potential districts of various states like Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, MP, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
