(1) 01 May
Every year on May 1, International Labour Day is celebrated not only in India but around the world. The day is celebrated to honor the contribution of workers around the world. For the first time in the year 1891, May 1 was announced to be formally celebrated as International Labour Day each year.


(2) 17 May
Coronavirus Lockdown Extension: Lockdown 3.0
 Ministry of Home Affairs has broadened the national lockdown by two additional weeks for example from fourth May to seventeenth May, to control the spread of COVID-19 in the nation. To faciliate the lockdown and to permit some facilitating of limitations, the nation has been separated into three zones for example Red Zone, Orange Zone and Green Zone.

(3) Saudi Arab
A meeting of the extra class G20 Digital Economist was held in Saudi Arabia’s turn. (6) Delhi Police
AYURAKSHA was organized under the joint aegis of All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) and Delhi Police under the Ministry of AYUSH titled “Corona Se Jung: With Delhi Police”. The event was organized in New Delhi to fight against COVID-19, which explained the simple steps of Ayurveda and immunity boosting.


(7) Ajay Tirkey 
Shri Ajay Tirkey assumed charge as Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) in New Delhi on 1 May 2020. He succeeded Shri Rabindra Panwar who retired on superannuation on 30 April 2020.




(8) Gorakhpur
Gorakhpur terracotta bagged the Geographical Indication (GI) tag. The terracotta work of Gorakhpur is a centuries-old traditional art form. In this method, the potters make various animal figures like, horses, elephants, camels, goats, ox, etc.


(9) National Council for Science & Technology Communication
01 May 2020 Current Affairs:National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science and Technology (DST) propelled ‘Year of Awareness on Science and Health (YASH)’ a program on wellbeing and hazard correspondence with an attention on COVID-19.

(10) Ramayana
India’s epic mythological saga of the 1980s, the ‘Ramayana’ serial, has set a world record for the most watched program worldwide. The legendary event has been watched by 7.7 crore viewers all over the world on a single day on 16 April 2020.


(11) Agra
Agra Smart City, Uttar Pradesh has created a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) dashboard which will show various hotspots, heat maps, positive cases, recovered cases, etc of COVID-19.


(12) DIAT
Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune, supported by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed a microwave sterilizer named ATULYA. The sterilizer will disintegrate coronavirus.
