Virat Kohli had said last year just before the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) that he would not captain in the IPL from next season. Faf du Plessis will be the seventh captain of RCB. Before Faf du Plessis, Rahul Dravid, Daniel Vettori, Kevin Pietersen, Anil Kumble, Virat Kohli and Shane Watson have captained the team.
