The International Civil Aviation Organization was established on 7 December 1944. The day was established in 1994 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

International Civil Aviation Day: International Civil Aviation Day is celebrated every year on 7 December to recognize the importance of aviation for the social and economic development of the world. The International Civil Aviation Organization is headquartered in Montreal, Canada.

The purpose of celebrating International Civil Aviation Day is to help generate and strengthen worldwide awareness of the importance of international civil aviation for the social and economic development of states and to support and support a truly global rapid transit network in the service of all mankind. ICAO has a unique role in helping states to realize.

The International Civil Aviation Organization Council has decided that from now to 2023, the theme will be: “Advanced Innovations for Global Aviation Development”.

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन दिवस मनाने का उद्देश्य राज्यों के सामाजिक और आर्थिक विकास के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन के महत्व के बारे में विश्वव्यापी जागरूकता उत्पन्न करने और सुदृढ़ करने में मदद करना और सभी मानव जाति की सेवा में वास्तव में वैश्विक रैपिड ट्रांजिट नेटवर्क को सहयोग करने और महसूस करने में राज्यों की मदद करने में आईसीएओ की अनूठी भूमिका है|

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन संगठन की स्थापना 7 दिसंबर 1944 में की गयी थी| अंतर्राष्ट्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन संगठन (ICAO) की स्थापना की 50 वीं वर्षगांठ मनाने के लिए 1994 में इस दिवस की स्थापना की गई| जबकि, संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 1996 में इस दिवस की घोषणा की थी|
