A part of the Bundi district was declared as Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary in the year 1982. There are 8 villages in the main areas of this sanctuary.
Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar recently announced on July 05, 2021, that the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has approved Ramgarh Poisonous Sanctuary as the fourth tiger reserve in Rajasthan.
Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary located in Bundi district of Rajasthan will connect Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in the northeast with Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve in the southern part of Rajasthan.
The proposal to convert Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary into a Tiger Reserve was recently submitted by the Technical Committee of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA). Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary in Rajasthan, which is spread over 1,071 sq km, will be the fourth tiger reserve of this state.

4 Tiger Reserves of Rajasthan

(राजस्थान के बूंदी जिले में स्थित रामगढ़ विषधारी अभयारण्य पूर्वोत्तर में रणथंभौर टाइगर रिजर्व को राजस्थान के दक्षिणी हिस्से में मुकुंदरा हिल्स टाइगर रिजर्व से जोड़ेगा|)
(रामगढ़ विषधारी अभयारण्य को टाइगर रिजर्व में बदलने का प्रस्ताव हाल ही में राष्ट्रीय बाघ संरक्षण प्राधिकरण (NTCA) की तकनीकी समिति द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया गया था| राजस्थान में रामगढ़ विषधारी अभयारण्य, जो 1,071 वर्ग किमी में फैला है, इस राज्य का चौथा टाइगर रिजर्व होगा |)
(बूंदी जिले के एक हिस्से को वर्ष, 1982 में रामगढ़ विषधारी वन्यजीव अभयारण्य घोषित किया गया था. इस अभयारण्य के मुख्य क्षेत्रों में 8 गांव हैं और यह क्षेत्र बड़ी संख्या में जंगली जानवरों का घर है, जिनमें चीतल, सांभर, कैरकल, जंगली बोर, नीलगाय, चिंकारा और धारीदार लकड़बग्घा शामिल हैं|)
