AMPHEX – 21 Exercises
Recently, the Indian Armed Forces have organized a large scale tri-service joint amphibious exercise AMPHEX – 21 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands between 21 to 25 January 2021.
Naval ships, military amphibious soldiers and air force aircraft participated in the exercise. The exercise was aimed at strengthening India’s capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the island territories.
The exercise included multi-level maritime operations, maritime airstrikes, surveillance platforms, and complex manoeuvres at sea. The ‘armour’ exercise to protect the Andaman and Nicobar Islands was also part of AMPHEX-21.
‘Kavach’ practice: – This is a tri-service military exercise. The exercise was held in January 2021 with APMHEX-21. The exercise was conducted under the aegis of the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC), which is India’s only joint military command.
The exercise was attended by the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and Indian Coast Guard. This included air defence, submarine and landing operations in addition to maritime assets, aerial and maritime attacks.

(इस अभ्यास में नौसेना के जहाजों, सेना के उभयचर सैनिकों और वायु सेना के विमानों ने भाग लिया। यह अभ्यास द्वीप क्षेत्रों की क्षेत्रीय अखंडता की सुरक्षा के लिए भारत की क्षमताओं को मज़बूत करने के उद्देश्य से किया गया।)
(इस अभ्यास में बहु-स्तरीय समुद्री संचालन, समुद्री एयरस्ट्राइक, निगरानी प्लेटफॉर्म और समुद्र में जटिल युद्धाभ्यास शामिल था। अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह की रक्षा के लिए ‘कवच’ अभ्यास भी AMPHEX- 21 का हिस्सा था।)
(‘कवच’ अभ्यास:- यह एक त्रि-सेवा सैन्य अभ्यास है। यह अभ्यास जनवरी 2021 में APMHEX-21 के साथ आयोजित किया गया था। यह अभ्यास अंडमान और निकोबार कमांड (ANC) के तत्वावधान में आयोजित किया गया था, जो भारत की एकमात्र संयुक्त सैन्य कमान है।)
(इस अभ्यास में भारतीय सेना, भारतीय नौसेना, भारतीय वायु सेना और भारतीय तटरक्षक बल ने भाग लिया था। इसमें समुद्री रक्षा संपत्तियों, हवाई और समुद्री हमलों के अलावा हवाई रक्षा, पनडुब्बी और लैंडिंग ऑपरेशन शामिल थे।)
