डच लेखक मैरीके लुकास रिजनेवेल्ड ने जीता साल 2020 का इंटरनेशनल बुकर पुरस्कार
Dutch author Marieke Lucas Rijneveld has recently won the International Booker Prize 2020 for his debut novel ‘The Discomfort of Evening’. With this, Rijneveld became the youngest writer to win the award at the age of 29. The book is the story of a peasant family from a staunch Christian community in rural Netherlands, in which his brother dies in an accident, and he wishes he had died instead of his brother.

The book was first published in Dutch in 2018 and translated into English by Michele Hutchison. Under this award a prize of £ 50,000 ($ 66,000) will be divided equally between the writer and translator to give equal recognition to both.
