5 new waterways added from India and Bangladesh
Five new ports of call have been added on the Indian side, Maya, Kolaghat, Sonamura, Dhulian, and Jogigopa respectively, while on the Bangladesh side they have added Sultanganj, Rajshahi, Chilmari, Bahadurgabad and Daudkandi.

India and Bangladesh have added the Indo-Bangladesh protocol routes in Dhaka on May 20, 2020, with four new routes covering the Gomti River in Tripura and the Sonmura-Dawoodakandi route on the Rajshahi-Dhulian-Rajshahi route in Bangladesh.
