International Tiger Day 2020 is observed on 29 July every day to raise awareness about the declining tiger population in the world.
International Tiger Day 2021: World Tiger Day is celebrated on 29 July all over the world to protect tigers and save their species from extinction. Tiger is the national animal of India, despite which the tiger in India is on the verge of extinction in the year 2010.
At present, there are 52 tiger reserves in the country. India’s first tiger reserve was Jim Corbett. India’s largest tiger reserve is Nagarjuna Sagar Srisailam while the country’s smallest tiger reserve is in Pench, Maharashtra.
India has the largest number of tigers in the whole world. According to the report in 2019 in a total of 18 states of the country, there are 2967 tigers in the country, maximum of 526 tigers are in Madhya Pradesh. 29 July is celebrated all over the world as World Tiger Day for the conservation of tigers.
