James Anderson became the 14th player and just the fifth seamer to reach 1,000 first-class wickets this century.
Recently, veteran England pacer James Anderson added another feat to his name by completing 1000 wickets in first-class cricket during Lancashire’s County Championship clash against Kent in Manchester.
James Anderson is the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket, taking 617 wickets in 162 Test matches at an average of 26.67, including 30 five-wicket hauls and three 10-wicket hauls.
James Anderson has become only the 14th player in this century to take 1,000 first-class wickets and only the fifth player among fast bowlers. Apart from him, Andy Caddick, Martin Bicknell, Devon Malcolm and Wasim Akram were other fast bowlers who took 1000 wickets before Anderson.
