Kerala has retained the top spot in the third edition of NITI Aayog’s SDG India Index 2020-21, while Bihar has been adjudged the worst performing state. The Index for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) evaluates the progress of states and union territories on social, economic and environmental parameters. Kerala has retained its rank as the top state with a score of 75. The third rendition of India’s SDG Index was launched on 3 June by Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog.

The index was launched in December 2018 and has become a major tool for monitoring progress on SDGs in the country. In the first edition 2018-19, 13 goals, 39 targets, and 62 indicators were included, whereas in this third edition 17 goals, 70 goals, and 115 indicators were included.
केरल ने नीति आयोग के SDG इंडिया इंडेक्स 2020-21 के तीसरे संस्करण में शीर्ष स्थान बरकरार रखा है, जबकि बिहार को सबसे खराब प्रदर्शन करने वाला राज्य घोषित किया गया है. सतत विकास लक्ष्यों (SDG) के लिए सूचकांक सामाजिक, आर्थिक और पर्यावरणीय मापदंडों पर राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों की प्रगति का मूल्यांकन करता है. केरल ने 75 के स्कोर के साथ शीर्ष राज्य के रूप में अपनी रैंक बरकरार रखी है. भारत के SDG इंडेक्स का तीसरा प्रतिपादन 3 जून को नीति आयोग के उपाध्यक्ष राजीव कुमार (Rajiv Kumar) द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया था.
