Lychee of Tezpur (Assam) gets GI tag
Recently, the Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority has given Geographical Indication (GI) tag to Tezpur Litchi in Assam. However, Lychee’s name was included in the GI tag list since 2015. The litchi of Tezpur is known for its excellent quality, pleasant taste, juicy pulp with attractive red color.
