Martyrs’ Day is an annual day observed by nations to salute the martyrdom of soldiers who lost their lives defending the sovereignty of the nation.
Martyrdom Day is celebrated on 23 March in memory of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru. Actually, on the same day in the year 1931, these three brave sons were hanged by British rule. He was hanged on charges of conspiracy in Lahore.
you should know that the date of execution of these three was fixed on 24 March 1931, but they were hanged on the same day, ie 23 March.
Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt threw bombs in the Central Assembly on 8 April 1929. After throwing the bomb, both were arrested there. After this, he was kept in jail for about two years, and then later Bhagat Singh was hanged along with Rajguru and Sukhdev.
On 8 April 1929, Bhagat Singh, along with his comrades, hurled bombs in the Central Assembly, raising the slogan of Inquilab Zindabad. He opposed the British Empire by bombing the Central Assembly. He also refused to run away by throwing a bomb in the assembly.
Bhagat Singh remained in jail for almost 2 years. During this time, he used to write articles and express his revolutionary views. His studies continued even while in jail. Before going to the gallows, he was reading the biography of Lenin and when he was asked his last wish, he said that he was reading the biography of Lenin and he should be given time to do it.

(ये आपको पता होना चहिये कि इन तीनों को फांसी दिए जाने की तारीख 24 मार्च 1931 तय की गई थी, लेकिन उससे एक दिन पहले ही यानी 23 मार्च को ही उन्हें फांसी पर लटका दिया गया था|)
(भगत सिंह और बटुकेश्वर दत्त ने आठ अप्रैल 1929 को सेंट्रल असेंबली में बम फेंके थे| बम फेंकने के बाद वहीं पर दोनों को गिरफ्तारी कर लिया गया था | इसके बाद करीब दो साल उन्हें जेल में रखा गया और फिर बाद में भगत सिंह को राजगुरु और सुखदेव के साथ फांसी दी गयी थी |)

(भगत सिंह करीब 2 साल जेल में रहे| इस दौरान वे लेख लिखकर अपने क्रान्तिकारी विचार व्यक्त करते रहते थे| जेल में रहते हुए भी उनका अध्ययन लगातार जारी रखा| फांसी पर जाने से पहले वे लेनिन की जीवनी पढ़ रहे थे और जब उनसे उनकी आखरी इच्छा पूछी गई तो उन्होंने कहा कि वह लेनिन की जीवनी पढ़ रहे थे और उन्हें वह पूरी करने का समय दिया जाए|)
