Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) and NTPC Ltd "entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on May 21, 2020 in New Delhi to formalize this arrangement," ONGC said in a statement.

NTPC Limited and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up a joint venture company for the renewable energy business. This partnership will enable both companies to make their mark in the field of renewable energy and establish a new source.
(NTPC लिमिटेड और ऑयल एंड नेचुरल गैस कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (ONGC) द्वारा नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा व्यवसाय के लिए एक संयुक्त उद्यम कंपनी स्थापित करने के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। यह साझेदारी दोनों कंपनियों को नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा के क्षेत्र में अपनी छाप छोड़ने में सक्षम बनाएगी व एक नया श्रोत स्थापित करेगी।)

NTPC Group has a total installed capacity of 62110 MW, NTPC has 25 JV power stations with 24 coal, 7 combined cycle gas / liquid fuels, 1 hydro, 70 power stations including 13 renewables.
(एनटीपीसी समूह की कुल स्थापित 62110 मेगावाट की क्षमता है, एनटीपीसी के 25 जेवी पावर स्टेशनों के साथ 24 कोयला, 7 संयुक्त चक्र गैस / तरल ईंधन, 1 हाइड्रो, 13 नवीकरण सहित 70 पावर स्टेशन हैं।)

Under the agreement, the two companies will explore the possibility of setting up offshore wind and other renewable energy projects abroad, including India. They will also explore opportunities in the areas of sustainability, storage, e-mobility, and environmental, social and governance-friendly projects.

(इस समझौते के अंतर्गत दोनों कंपनियां भारत सहित विदेशों में अपतटीय पवन और अन्य नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा परियोजनाओं की स्थापना की संभावना तलाश करेगी। साथ ही वे स्थिरता, भंडारण, ई-गतिशीलता, और पर्यावरण, सामाजिक और शासन (Environmental, Social and Governance) अनुरूप परियोजनाओं के क्षेत्र में अवसरों की तलाश करेंगे।)

The agreement will further enhance NTPC’s renewable energy capacity addition program and also increase ONGC’s presence in the renewable energy business. Apart from this, it will also help ONGC to achieve the ambitious target of adding 10 GW of renewable energy to its portfolio by 2040.

(यह समझौता एनटीपीसी के नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा क्षमता संवर्धन कार्यक्रम को और भी ज्यादा बढ़ाएगा और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा कारोबार में ओएनजीसी की उपस्थिति को भी बढ़ाएगा। इसके अलावा यह ONGC को 2040 तक अपने पोर्टफोलियो में 10 गीगावॉट अक्षय ऊर्जा जोड़ने की महत्वाकांक्षी लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने में भी मदद करेगा।)
