कर्नाटक में होगी मूल्य निगरानी और संसाधन इकाई (PMRU) की स्थापना
Recently Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri DV Sadanand Gowda has announced the setting up of Price Monitoring and Resource Unit (PMRU) in Karnataka. The PMRU has been set up by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, in association with the Karnataka State Drug Control Department. PMRU will assist NPPA in monitoring drug prices, ensuring availability of medicines as well as increasing consumer awareness.

The PMRU will work with the grassroots information gathering mechanism as an ally of the NPPA. The State Drug Controller will directly supervise the Price Monitoring and Resources Unit (PMRU) to increase NPPA outreach. Recurring and non-recurring expenses of PMRUs are borne by the NPPA under the Central Sector Scheme called Consumer Awareness, Promotions and Price Monitoring (CAPPM).
