According to the study, the menstrual cycle will lengthen by less than half a day as a result of the coronavirus vaccinations given to protect against the infection.

However, the rise in the menstrual cycle does not last for a long time. The menstrual cycle of individuals who participated in the study briefly grew during the cycle during which they received the vaccination.

According to American researchers from Oregon Health & Science University, the average increase in each menstrual cycle for those who received vaccinations was less than one day.

The rise was 0.71 days after the first dosage of the vaccination and 0.56 days after the second injection, according to the researchers.

According to the research, women who got both dosages in a single period had cycles that were 3.91 days longer. 

Comparing participants who received the Covid vaccine to those who did not, the menstrual cycle duration increased after the immunization by just 0.02 days for those who received one dose each cycle and by 0.85 days for those who received both doses at once.

The length of the cycle did not alter depending on the Covid vaccination type, according to the researchers. 1,342 of the 19,622 individuals had a change in the duration of their menstrual cycle of eight or more days.

According to the Ministry of Health, so far 96 percent of people above 15 years of age in the country have received at least one dose, while about 83 percent have received both. While about 2.5 crore people have also got precautionary doses. The first dose has also been administered to 45 percent of the people aged 12 to 14 years.

The vaccination campaign across the country started on 16 January 2021. Which health workers were vaccinated in the first phase. The vaccination of frontline workers started on February 2 last year. India started vaccination for all people above 45 years of age on 1st April last year.

स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के अनुसार, देश में अभी तक 15 साल से ऊपर के 96 फीसदी लोगों को कम से कम एक डोज मिल चुकी है, जबकि लगभग 83 प्रतिशत को दोनों डोज लग चुकी है| जबकि लगभग ढाई करोड लोग एहतियाती खुराक भी लगवा चुके हैं| 12 से 14 साल के 45 प्रतिशत लोगों को भी पहली डोज लगाई जा चुकी है|

देश भर में टीकाकरण अभियान 16 जनवरी 2021 को शुरू हुआ था| जिसमें स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों को पहले चरण में टीका लगाया गया| फ्रंटलाइन वर्कर्स का टीकाकरण पिछले साल 2 फरवरी से शुरू हुआ| भारत ने पिछले साल 01 अप्रैल से 45 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के सभी लोगों के लिए टीकाकरण शुरू किया था|

Preventive Measures:

The BA.2 sub-variant of Omicron can only be detected through genome sequencing. To protect against this version of the Omicron variant, doctors ask that all citizens get their corona vaccination done and follow Covid-19 compliant behavior. विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (WHO) का कहना है कि भारत, दक्षिण अफ्रीका, ब्रिटेन और डेनमार्क के अध्यन से पता चला है कि BA.2 के मामले इन देशों मे बहुत तेजी से बढ़ रहे हैं| ओमिक्रॉन के सबसे ज्यादा मरीजों को नाक बहने या फिर गले में चुभन की शिकायत है| इन मरीजों को स्वाद या सुगंध में कमी का अहसास नहीं होता, जैसा कि डेल्टा केस में था| 

बचाव के उपाय: 

ओमिक्रॉन के BA.2 सब-वेरिएंट का पता केवल जीनोम सिक्वेंसिंग के माध्यम से लगाया जा सकता है| डॉक्टर्स का ओमिक्रॉन वेरिएंट के इस वर्जन से बचाव हेतु कहना है कि, सभी नागरिक अपना कोरोना वैक्सीनेशन कराएं और कोविड-19 अनुरुप व्यवहार का पालन करें| इनमें मास्क का इस्तेमाल एवं सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग से जुड़े नियम शामिल हैं|

हाल ही मे, विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (WHO) ने कोरोना वायरस के एक नए वेरिएंट को लेकर चिंता ज़ाहिर की है| WHO ने इसे तकनीकी शब्दावली में ‘चिंता वाला वेरिएंट’ (वेरिएंट ऑफ़ कंसर्न/वीओसी) बताते हुए इसे ‘ओमीक्रोन’ नाम दिया है|

डब्ल्यूएचओ ने चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि यह काफी तेज़ी से और बड़ी संख्या में म्यूटेट होने वाला वेरिएंट है| डब्ल्यूएचओ ने बताया है कि इस वेरिएंट के कई म्यूटेशन चिंता पैदा करने वाले हैं इसलिए शुरुआती साक्ष्यों के आधार पर WHO ने कहा है कि इस म्यूटेशन के चलते संक्रमण का ख़तरा बढ़ गया है|

इस वेरिएंट के सामने आने के बाद दुनिया के कई देशों ने दक्षिणी अफ्रीका से आने-जाने पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का फ़ैसला किया है| दक्षिण अफ्रीका, नामीबिया, जिम्बॉब्वे, बोत्सवाना, लेसोथो और इस्वातिनी से आने वाले लोग ब्रिटेन में प्रवेश नहीं कर पाएंगे बशर्ते वे ब्रिटेन या आयरलैंड के नागरिक या ब्रिटेन के निवासी न हों|

Covid-19 vaccine: Recently it has been heard in the media report that the corona vaccine can now be administered to children between 2 years and 18 years. The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved Bharat Biotech’s Covaccine for emergency use.

Covaccine is the first vaccine approved for children in India. Covaccine is jointly developed by Bharat Biotech and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). ZyCoV-D Corona Vaccine: Earlier in India DCGI approved Zydus Cadila’s corona vaccine ZyCoV-D for emergency use. Which will be installed for children of 12 years, adolescents and elders. This was the world’s first DNA-based vaccine made in India.

The ‘Lambda’ variant of the coronavirus is becoming a cause of concern all over the world. Another deadly variant of the coronavirus ‘Lambda’ from the Latin American country of Peru has started spreading rapidly in the world. So far, cases of this variant have been reported in 27 countries.

This new variant, known as C.37, was announced as the ‘Variant of Interest’ on 14 June 2021. According to the Health Ministry of Malaysia, it is more lethal than the delta variant. So far 6 cases of Lambda have been found in the UK, and all of them had returned from overseas travel.

So far, not a single case has been reported in India of the C.37 strain of coronavirus, which is called the ‘Lambda variant’. According to experts, the opening of international air travel is increasing the risk of many new variants including ‘Lambda’ reaching India.

This strain was first identified in Peru in December 2020. 81 per cent of the cases in Peru were found with this variant. Lambda variants are usually associated with high transmission efficiency and resistance to antibodies, but health experts have said that more data will be needed to firmly establish this fact.
