Vijayalakshmi Ramanan, the first woman officer of the Indian Air Force, diedRecently, the first female officer of the Indian Air Force, Winger (R) Dr. Vijayalakshmi Ramanan has passed away. She was born in February 1924, she joined the Army Medical Corps on August 22, 1955 after completing her MBS. She retired in February 1979.
