The second phase of the budget session of Parliament will run from Monday 8 March to 8 April. Though voting is to be held for the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala, Assam and Puducherry from 27 March to 29 April, it is being considered to cut this part of the session. The first phase of the budget session of Parliament ran from 29 January to 28 February.
