There will be a reshuffle in the support staff, including the head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri
According to media reports, Indian cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri, fielding coach R Sridhar, bowling coach Bharat Arun and batting coach Vikram Rathod may leave the team in the T20 World Cup 2021 to be held in UAE.
Quoting media reports, Ravi Shastri has already told some officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India that he will not join the Indian cricket team after the upcoming T20 World Cup. The tenure of the head coach of the national cricket team, Ravi Shastri, is about to end after the T20 World.
Ravi Shastri was associated with the Indian team in the year 2014 as a director. After this, he was appointed the coach of the team till the year 2016 T20 World Cup. Ravi Shastri was appointed as the head coach of the Indian team after Pakistan defeated India in the final of the Champions Trophy played in England in 2017.
According to the rules, after the T20 Cricket World Cup 2021, BCCI will seek applications for the post of coach. Rahul Dravid is at the fore in the race to become the head coach of the Indian team as Shikhar Dhawan-led Team India performed well on the Sri Lanka tour under Dravid’s coaching leadership.
