The Tripura government has announced the launch of “Ektu Games, Ektu Padho” (Ektu Khelo, Ektu Padho) to undertake an activity-based special education initiative. The new scheme has been launched through WhatsApp or SMS services with the aim of keeping students engaged in studies by broadcasting audio and video content focused on practical learning activities and simple projects, fun activities and games messages. This new scheme will be accessible through parents ‘smartphones and if no students’ smartphones are available, they can avail the scheme by using SMS services to teach.
(त्रिपुरा सरकार ने गतिविधि आधारित एक विशेष शिक्षा पहल करने के लिए “एकटू खेलों, एकटू पढ़ों” (Ektu Khelo, Ektu Padho) शुरू करने की घोषणा की है। नई योजना को व्हाट्सएप या एसएमएस सेवाओं के माध्यम से प्रैक्टिकल सीखने की गतिविधियों और सरल परियोजनाओं, मजेदार गतिविधियों और गेम के संदेशों पर केंद्रित ऑडियो और वीडियो सामग्री को प्रसारित करके छात्रों को पढ़ाई में व्यस्त रखने के उद्देश्य से शुरू की  है। इस नई योजना को अभिभावकों के स्मार्टफोन के माध्यम से एक्सेस किया जा सकेगा और यदि छात्रों के कोई स्मार्टफोन उपलब्ध नहीं है, तो वह पढ़ाने के लिए एसएमएस सेवाओं का उपयोग कर इस योजना का लाभ उठा सकेगा। )

Guidelines for ‘Ektu Khelo, Ektu Padho’:

  • According to the guidelines, information of the day’s lesson and practice will be delivered to the students’ mobile phones every morning.
  • Feedback on the work done by them will be collected in the afternoon.
  • This material will be shared from state headquarters to academic coordinators in various districts, who will coordinate between the respective headmasters in the area.
  • The headmaster, who will engage his teachers to oversee this process, will be responsible for feedback and reporting back for any deficiencies found in practice.
  • There are currently 4,398 government schools in Tripura besides 335 government aided private schools. Five lakh students study in these schools across the state, of which around one lakh are in private schools.
