💐 The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a USD 2 million fund to counter the spread of coronavirus (nCoV). The fund will support efforts to boycott Coronavirus (nCoV) in China, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar by strengthening ongoing regional technical assistance and strengthening response capacity. The funds will also help increase the supply of diagnostic and laboratory equipment for rapid testing to help fight against the outbreak.

This assistance will fund the development of recommendations for better outbreak investigation and surveillance, including in rural areas, and strengthen the flexibility and capacity of health systems to respond to epidemics.

💐 In collaboration with the World Health Organization and other regional experts, ADB will identify areas for coordinated responses as well as provide more financial support to improve the situation caused by nCoV.
