What is Laughing virus, know the symptoms

Hantaviruses are a family of viruses spread mainly by rodents and can cause varied disease syndromes in people worldwide.  Infection with any hantavirus can produce hantavirus disease in people. Hantaviruses in the Americas are known as “New World” hantaviruses and may cause hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS). Other hantaviruses, known as “Old World” hantaviruses, are found mostly in Europe and Asia and may cause hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS).

• According to the CDC report, the virus is transmitted from mice.  (सीडीसी की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक़, हंता वायरस चूहों से फैलता है.)

• If a person puts his hand on his face after touching the feces or urine or saliva of mice, then there is an increased chance of getting infected.  (अगर कोई इंसान चूहों के मल-मूत्र या लार को छूने के बाद अपने चेहरे पर हाथ लगाता है तो हंता संक्रमित होने की आशंका बढ़ जाती है.)

• However, the virus generally does not pass from person to person. It may take one to eight weeks for the infection to be detected.  (हालांकि आमतौर पर हंता वायरस एक व्यक्ति से दूसरे व्यक्ति में नहीं जाता है. हंता के संक्रमण का पता लगने में एक से आठ हफ्तों का वक़्त लग सकता है.)

• If a person is infected with laughter, he may suffer from fever, pain, cold, body pain, vomiting.  (अगर कोई व्यक्ति हंता संक्रमित है तो उसे बुखार, दर्द, सर्दी, बदन दर्द, उल्टी जैसी दिक़्क़तें हो सकती हैं.)

• If the condition of the infected person worsens, there may be difficulty in filling the lungs with water and breathing. (हंता संक्रमित व्यक्ति की हालत बिगड़ने पर फेफड़ों में पानी भरने और सांस लेने में तकलीफ़ भी हो सकती है.)

🚥According to the CDC, death rate in Hanta virus is 38% and there is no ‘specific treatment’ of this disease. (CDC की मानें तो हंता वायरस में मृत्युदर 38 फ़ीसदी होती है और इस बीमारी का कोई ‘स्पेसिफिक ट्रीटमेंट’ नहीं है.)
