India launches (Mission Sagar) to help five island countries

The Government of India has launched “Mission Sagar” on 10 May 2020 to provide assistance to countries in the eastern Indian Ocean region between COVID-19. Under this mission, the Indian Navy ship (INS) ‘Kesari’ has been deployed, which along with two medical support teams, to carry food items, Kovid related medicines including HCQ tablets and special Ayurvedic medicines to five island countries of the Indian Ocean Maldives. , Has left for Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar and Comoros. This mission Sagar is intended to help island countries in the Indian Ocean during a health crisis, part of the Government of India’s outreach initiative.

(भारत सरकार ने COVID – 19  के बीच पूर्वी हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र के देशों को सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए 10 मई 2020 को “मिशन सागर” का शुभारंभ किया है। इस मिशन के तहत, भारतीय नौसेना  के जहाज (INS) ‘केसरी’ की तैनाती की गई है, जो दो मेडिकल सहायता टीमों के साथ खाद्य वस्तुएं, एचसीक्‍यू गोलियों सहित कोविड सम्‍बन्धित दवाएं और विशेष आयुर्वेदिक दवाओं को लेकर हिंद महासागर के पाँच द्वीप देशों मालदीव, मॉरीशस, सेशेल्स, मेडागास्कर और कोमोरोस के लिए रवाना हो गया है । इस मिशन सागर का उद्देश्य  स्वास्थ्य संकट के दौरान हिंद महासागर में द्वीप देशों की मदद करने का है, भारत सरकार की आउटरीच पहल का हिस्सा है।)

This ‘Mission Sagar‘ is an inspiration for Prime Minister Modi’s vision of security and growth for all in the region. The mission is in progress with close coordination with the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of External Affairs and other agencies of the Government of India.
