UP government has launches ‘UP Start-Up Fund’

The Government of Uttar Pradesh has established ‘UP Start-up Fund’ under the Start-up Policy 2017 with UP Information Technology. For this an agreement has been signed between the Government of Uttar Pradesh and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), in which the fund will be managed by SIDBI. An initial contribution of Rs 15 crore has been passed in this fund. The main objective of this fund will be to support registered start-up ventures in various sectors in Uttar Pradesh.

(उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने यूपी सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी के साथ स्टार्ट-अप नीति 2017 के तहत ‘UP Start-up Fund’ की स्थापना की है। इसके लिए उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार और भारतीय लघु उद्योग विकास बैंक (सिडबी) के बीच एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए हैं, जिसमे फंड SIDBI द्वारा प्रबंधित किया जाएगा। इस निधि में 15 करोड़ रुपये का प्रारंभिक योगदान पारित किया है। इस फंड का मुख्य उद्देश्य उत्तर प्रदेश में विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में मौजूद पंजीकृत स्टार्ट-अप उपक्रमों का सहयोग करना रहेगा।)

The ‘UP Start-up Fund’ has been set up by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under the UP Information Technology and Start-up Policy 2017. This has been done as Fund of Funds. The fund will be part of an alternative investment fund approved by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), which will not be directly invested in start-ups. The fund will be operated for a period of 12 years and can be managed professionally by SIDBI acting as a fund manager.

(‘यूपी स्टार्ट-अप फंड’ की स्थापना उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा यूपी सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी और स्टार्ट-अप नीति 2017 के तहत की है। यह फंड ऑफ फंड्स के रूप में की गई है। यह फंड सिक्योरिटीज एंड एक्सचेंज बोर्ड ऑफ इंडिया (SEBI) द्वारा स्वीकृत वैकल्पिक निवेश निधि का हिस्सा होगा, जिसमे सीधे स्टार्ट-अप में निवेश नहीं किया जाएगा। फंड को 12 साल की अवधि के लिए संचालित किया जाएगा और जिसे सिडबी द्वारा फंड मैनेजर के तौर पर कार्य करके पेशेवर रूप से प्रबंधित किया जा सकता है।)
