Indian aerospace entrepreneur Ranjit Kumar has been awarded the NASA Distinguished Service Medal by NASA for his administration through executive leadership, engineering contributions, technical excellence and consumer loyalty. He has been associated with NASA for 30 years and has contributed significantly in upgrading International Space Stations (ISS). He is the CEO Emeritus of Virginia-based Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA). RK Chetty Pandipati was the first Indian to receive this honor in 2002.
