World Environment Day (World Environment Day) is celebrated globally on 5 June every year. This day is celebrated to make people aware of the importance of environmental corrosion and nature. The day provides an opportunity to broaden the “basis for an enlightened thought and responsible conduct” by individuals, enterprises and communities in preserving and maintaining the environment.
World Environment Day 2020 will be celebrated on the theme of Biodiversity (Biodiversity). This subject symbolizes a concern that is both immediate and existential. World Environment Day is encouraged by the United Nations and in the year 2020 Colombia will host World Environment Day, while in 2019, China was its host country.
World Environment Day: History
World Environment Day was celebrated for the first time in 1974 with the slogan “Only one Earth”. In 1972, a conference on the human environment was held which ran from 5 to 16 June at the United Nations.
