Gyanendro Ningombam of Manipur appointed new president of Hockey India

Recently Gyanendro Ningombam of Manipur has been appointed as the new acting president of Hockey India. He will replace the current chairman Mohammad Mushtaq Ahmed. The decision comes after Mohammed Mushtaq Ahmed’s resignation to Hockey India on 7 July, in which he cited the reason for his resignation as a personal and family cause.

(हाल ही में मणिपुर के ज्ञानेंद्रो निगोमबाम को हॉकी इंडिया का नया कार्यवाहक अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया है। वह वर्तमान अध्यक्ष मोहम्मद मुश्ताक अहमद का स्थान लेंगे। यह फैसला मोहम्मद मुश्ताक अहमद के 7 जुलाई को हॉकी इंडिया को मिले इस्तीफा के बाद किया गया है, जिसमें उन्होंने इस्तीफे की वजह निजी और पारवारिक कारण को बताया था।)

Gyanendro Ningombam is associated with Manipur hockey and has greatly influenced the Sangh with his work at the grassroots. He also served as the editor of Daily Evening Meem in Manipur. In addition, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Manipur Hockey from 2009 to 2014.
