India Global Week 2020 conference begins in Britain
The inaugural session of India Global Week 2020 was addressed via video-conference by Prime Minister Modi. The conference will be held in the UK for three days on the theme of “Be The Revival: India and a Better New World“. Apart from this, a “never-seen-before” program will also be organized on the Atma Nirbhaar Bharat Abhiyan in the virtual conference.
UP Government Launches: Mission Tree Plantation-2020 Campaign
Recently the Uttar Pradesh government has launched a campaign “Mission tree plantation-2020”. Under this campaign, more than 25 crore saplings were planted in Uttar Pradesh on 5 July. A tree plantation drive was started on the occasion of Guru Purnima and hence many people planted saplings in honor of their gurus. The campaign was started by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Maharashtra government launches MAHA job portal
Recently the “Maha” Rojgar Portal has been launched by the Maharashtra government in the state. The main objective of this job portal has been launched to provide re-employment opportunities to the citizens of the state. The portal will help to provide employment opportunities to skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled employees by reducing the gap between employers and local workers. The portal will be operated by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation.
All India Radio launches Sanskrit Weekly program
Recently All India Radio (All India Radio) has started broadcasting a new program called “Sanskrit Weekly”. It is the first ‘News Magazine’ program to be aired in Sanskrit which broadcasts news related to the Sanskrit world including the major events of the week.
PM Modi to inaugurate Asia’s largest solar plant in MP
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Asia’s largest 750 MW Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Plant in Madhya Pradesh through a video conference on 10 July. Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Plant has been set up in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh with a total solar power capacity of 750 MW. It is one of the largest single-site solar power plants in Asia.
G. Akash became the 66th Chase Grandmaster of India
Tamil Nadu’s G Akash became the country’s 66th chess Grandmaster while his statemate M Pranesh and Goa’s Ameya Audi earned International Master titles.

Army banned 89 apps for Soldiers including Facebook, Instagram, PUBG: List of apps banned for Indian Military
Recently, the Indian Army has banned 89 apps for soldiers. The army has instructed its officers and employees to immediately remove all the apps included in the ban from their smartphones. The Army has banned apps on messaging platforms, web browsers, content sharing, gaming, etc., including Facebook (Facebook), TikTok, TrueCaller, Instagram (Instagram), UC Browser, PUBG, etc. According to sources, there is a risk of leaking information behind this action.
Google relaunched Google+ as Google Currents

ISRO will launch Brazilian Amazonia-1 satellite
Recently the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced the launch of the Brazilian Amazonia-1 satellite. The satellite will be loaded on Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) as the main payload by August 2020. The satellite has been designed and tested locally in Brazil. It will be the first satellite to observe Earth.
