 Recently, Swachh Survekshan Awards of 2020 have been announced, in which Indore has maintained its status as India’s cleanest city for the fourth consecutive year. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri announced the results of the Swachh Survekshan 2020 Awards in a virtual program called “Swachh Mahotsav” organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoUHA) in the National Capital Territory of New Delhi.
(हाल ही में वर्ष 2020 के स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण पुरस्कारों की घोषणा कर दी गई है, जिसमे इंदौर ने लगातार चौथे वर्ष भारत का सबसे स्वच्छ शहर होने का अपना दर्जा बनाए रखा है। केंद्रीय मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने आवास और शहरी मामलों के मंत्रालय (MoUHA) द्वारा राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र नई दिल्ली में “स्वच्छ महोत्सव” के नाम से आयोजित आभासी कार्यक्रम में स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण 2020 पुरस्कारों के परिणामों की घोषणा की।)
This is the fifth edition of the country’s annual sanitation survey. A total of 129 awards will be given to the top performing cities and states.
(यह देश के वार्षिक स्वच्छता सर्वेक्षण का पांचवा संस्करण है। शीर्ष प्रदर्शन करने वाले शहरों और राज्यों को कुल 129 पुरस्कार दिए जाएंगे।)
The Swachh Survekshan was launched in 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mysuru won the award for India’s cleanest city in 2016, after which Indore has occupied the top spot for three consecutive years in 2017, 2018 and 2019. In this, only one award is given to a city. The population of cities is calculated according to the 2011 census.
(प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा साल 2016 में स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण की शुरूआत की गई थी। मैसूरु ने 2016 में भारत के सबसे स्वच्छ शहर के लिए पुरस्कार जीता, जिसके बाद से इंदौर ने 2017, 2018 और 2019 में लगातार तीन वर्षों से शीर्ष स्थान कब्जा जमाया हुआ है। इसमें एक शहर को केवल एक पुरस्कार दिया जाता है । शहरों की जनसंख्या 2011 की जनगणना के अनुसार की जाती है।)
