The International Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) is observed every year on September 10 by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP). The purpose of celebrating this day is to raise awareness to prevent suicide worldwide. The theme of World Suicide Prevention Day 2020 is ‘Working Together to Prevent Suicide’.
History of World Suicide Prevention Day:
The International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) in association with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) has been organizing various World Suicide Prevention Day programs continuously since 2003.
