What is EVM
Conducting elections in a democratic country has always been a complex task. To simplify this, the Election Commission uses electronic voting machines, electronic voting machines, also known as EVMs. It is an electronic device used to cast votes, EVMs aim to make the electoral process safe, fair and transparent.

The first use of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in India started in 1982 from Kerala. The EVM consists of two parts, one part of which acts as the control which remains with the polling officer and the other part of it acts as the polling unit which resides inside the polling room, first of all polling officer polling. Presses the button, after which the voter present in the polling room selects his favorite candidate by pressing the blue button in front of his party symbol.
(भारत में पहली बार इलेक्ट्रॉनिक वोटिंग मशीन (EVM) का प्रयोग 1982 में केरल से शुरू हुआ था | ईवीएम के दो हिस्से होते हैं, इसमें से एक हिस्सा नियंत्रण के रूप में कार्य करता है जो मतदान अधिकारी के पास रहता है तथा इसका दूसरा हिस्सा मतदान ईकाई के रूप में काम करता है जो मतदान कक्ष के अंदर रहता है, सबसे पहले मतदान अधिकारी मतदान बटन को दबाता है जिसके बाद मतदान कक्ष में उपस्थित मतदाता अपने पसंदीदा प्रत्याशी का चुनाव उसके पार्टी चिन्ह के सामने लगे नीले बटन को दबाकर करता है |)
