Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi passed away
Recently, Tarun Gogoi, who was the three-time Chief Minister of Assam from the Congress Party, has died at the age of 84. Tarun Gogoi served as the Chief Minister of Assam from 2001 to 2015. He was the longest-serving Chief Minister of Assam.
(हाल ही मे, कांग्रेस पार्टी से असम में तीन बार मुख्यमंत्री रहे तरुण गोगोई का 84 साल की उम्र मे निधन हो गया है। तरुण गोगोई ने 2001 से 2015 के बीच असम के मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में कार्य किया था। वे असम के सबसे लंबे समय तक सत्ता में रहने वाले मुख्यमंत्री थे।)

Apart from this, Gogoi served as the Minister of Food and Food Processing Industries in the Union Cabinet in the government of Prime Minister Narasimha Rao during 1991 and 1996.
