India becomes the world sixth largest economy – CEBR

India had overtaken the UK in 2019 to become the fifth largest economy in the world but has been relegated to 6th spot in 2020.

India became the 5th largest economy in the world, surpassing the United Kingdom in the year 2019, but has returned to the sixth position in the year 2020.

According to the recent annual report published by the Center for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) on 26 December 2020, India can become the world’s 5th largest economy by 2025.
